5th Grade Catalina Update

Thursday, February 4, 9:50 am.

We just spoke to Mrs. Fabro. The students are having a great time on Catalina. She said yesterday ½ of the students went snorkeling and the water was terrific. The other ½ will go today. The students also dissected squids and in the evening enjoyed astronomy night.

The staff and students are thoroughly enjoying the new camp. It is brand new and opened a week early just so Turtle Rock could use it. Mrs. Fabro will try to schedule this same camp again for next year’s 5th grade Catalina trip.

The boat is expected to arrive in Long Beach at 2:30 pm tomorrow and the students will load the busses at 3:00 pm. We anticipate them leaving Long Beach about 3:30 pm. Depending on the Friday afternoon traffic, the students should arrive at Turtle Rock around 4:30.
